Letter From Bataan

Question 1: All-American soldiers Pete and Johnny are fighting on the Pacific island of Bataan in 1944. Pete has bad cramps and Johnny can't see at night due to vitamin deficiency. Pete kicks the bucket almost right away while Johnny.....
 

 Dies a horrible death after eating the lunch special the next day Dies a horrible death exclaiming to his wife and kids that 'Pearl Harbor' had the wrong kinds of machine guns in it
 Dies a horrible death, while undergoing an amputation  


Question 2: During WWII, the price of a stamp got you quite a bit. It could send a letter from the island of Bataan all the way back to Anytown, USA. Something else came along with that last letter from Johnny....
 

 His ghost His dirty laundry
 His overdue book fines, asking if somebody can pay them for him  


Question 3: As the letter is read aloud, Johnny details shortages and hardships that are putting the troops, and victory in peril. What does Johnny ask of his family, friends, and all of America to do?
 

 I hope one day someone designs a car that only gets 10 miles per gallon for fuel, and they become hip to own You've all got to do without things

Question 4: "Burning rubber is going to mean dead soldiers from now on" Johnny writes. How many car tires did it take during WWII to make one bomber tire?
 

 Two car tires, so you can still do car tricks on the way to the store Three car tires, leaving you one good one to drive on
 Five of you car tires, that's all of 'em, pus the spare  


Question 5: Moments after finishing Johnny's letter, more uplifting news arrives. The gang finds out that their man has died in action on Bataan. Something is amiss. The telegram states that Johnny died on the 6th, but when was Johnny's letter home written?
 

 Johnny wrote his letter on the 7th Johnny never learned how to write, he liked to send home drawings of what he had been doing, this was a first
 Johnny wrote his letter two years ago, and it only just arrived
